This week’s theme for Song Lyric Sunday is similar to last week’s in a sense that both can be viewed in the same way metaphorically. Not sure if that’s an accurate way to say what I mean but I hope you get what I mean.
Anyways, a river is nothing more than a smaller and narrower water body as compared to oceans and seas. In a sense, it is narrower and mostly nothing more than a two-way “street”. There are fewer options as to where one can go. Thanks to that, it is far easier to cross than oceans or seas. Or at least, they should be. However, that is only the case if the current downstream or upstream is not too strong. If the currents are too strong, one would end up simply drifting along the long river route to a bigger water body, likely the ocean or sea where one is forced to meet the world.
My song choice for this week is again by Aimer, “Moon River”.
