Valentine’s Day

A day celebrated by almost all those who are taken, or perhaps, that is just what we have been led to believe. The origins of Valentine’s Day is as unclear as the concept of love itself is. We just know that Saint Valentine was a romantic who was in love with the concept of love itself.

Despite all how highly people view love, perhaps because I’m just naturally salty, I can’t help but talk down on how love is nothing more than an artificial construct of humans. An ideal emotion in which we want to hold towards those special to us. However, it is nothing more than a concept, an ideal that can never be fulfilled. To me, love is truly, nothing more and nothing less than a work of fiction.

Although I do not really believe in love myself, I do not fault or see anything wrong with others having partners and love interests. I mean, if anything, I’m the minority (I think). However, likewise, I hope you all do not mind me despairing over the artificiality (just my opinion, please don’t hate) of love in the world we live in.

If you share my sorrows, perhaps you would enjoy this extra salty special of mine on Wattpad.
