Somali and The Forest Spirit – Not Just Cute

Disclaimer: Minor spoilers, but honestly, this show is definitely worth a watch so you should watch it anyways! Although after watching it, this post wouldn’t be of much use at all… maybe you can just share your own thoughts in the comments after you’re done! 🙂

I’ll be honest, I started watching this anime because I saw so many screenshots of how adorable Somali was. I thought it would be a chill and fun anime with Somali doing cute things. I mean, she did do a lot of cute things but she also made me cry many more times than I intended to when I first started this show.

sad somali = sad me

In the end, this was such a wholesome show about what it’s like to be a parent as well as how energetic and lovable a kid like Somali can be. At the same time, they show how she’s prone to cause trouble as she chases after anything that catches her interest. Fortunately, most of the people that they met on their journey were nice people. They managed to form strong bonds with each other such that even after she was revealed to be a human, they still wanted to friends with her.

I mean seriously, who in their right mind could possibly not want to protect that smile?

Anyways, I don’t have much to write about this show but I strongly suggest you watch it. It’s more than just a cute anime! I know because I’ve watched a lot of anime that’s just pure cuteness and nothing else. This is different!

Since my posts today have been really short, here are two! You guys would probably prefer better quality posts but as I am right now I don’t think I would be able to write any better.

I’m sorry!

My thoughts are always fleeting. Writing is the only way I can remember all the things that once crossed my mind.
